Kate Elliott is a certified intimacy coordinator through IPA,(SAG accredited training) in Los Angeles. With over 25 years of on-set experience as a performer, she understands the actor’s process, the importance of the dynamic between cast, directors and DOPs, and works confidently within that space to deliver intimate scenes that are dramatically resonant.
Kate has led intimacy coordination on international series including One of Us Is Lying and Our Flag Means Death, as well as SBS’s viral campaign We Go There and long-running serial Home and Away. Kate was recently selected to partake in the Screen Australia’s Advanced Intimacy Coordinators Workshop, addressing global protocol and advancing industry standards.
Working as a story producer means Kate also understands schedules and budgets. Kate has produced and directed documentary and branded content for VICE and Red Bull. Her documentary Lost Boys of Taranaki was nominated for a Voyager Media Award. Her directing work spans music, current affairs and long-form documentary, with clients including Roadshow Entertainment, NZ Transport Agency, Samsung, New Balance, Vodafone and Nike.
